Forensic testimony

Dr. Roitman has been a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association since 1998, and Board Certified in Child, Adolescent and General Psychiatry since 1987. He has been admitted as an expert in Federal and District Courts (Nevada, Oregon and California) since 1990, and has testified on all age groups on civil and criminal matters. He specializes in precision diagnosis of DSM 5 disorders and their impact on reasoning and behavior.

Dr. Roitman is a Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at University of Nevada Schools of Medicine and Roseman College of Medicine. He develops clear professional presentations and explains psychiatric factors in simple everyday language in verbal and written testimony. With psychopharmacological, administrative and clinical fellowships and experience, he is qualified on a range of forensic psychiatric matters including mental health standards of care, psychopharmacology, neuropsychiatry and psychotherapy. With over 37 years of forensic experience, he appreciates the tasks expected from a forensic expert.

 Dr. Roitman has testified on behalf of the casino and national retail and service industries, as well as plaintiffs, in injury suits. He's assisted nationally renown sports figures, and testified in hearings on behalf of the United States Postal Service and major retailers and pharmaceutical companies, as well as employees, in employment matters. He has expertise in matters of disability, employee and professional fitness for duty, and security clearance for military contractors. Dr. Roitman has been on the defense and plaintiff sides of mal practice complaints. He's consulted with defense teams and testified for high profile criminal and capital cases. Dr. Roitman testified before the Nevada Gaming Control Board, the Board of Medical Examiners and Osteopathic Physicians, and the Nevada Athletic Commission. He conducts accurate and convincing workups of criminal defendants in every diagnostic category. He regularly consults with the Department of Juvenile Justice.
